Halloween and Holiday Magic in 2020 – CANCELED

Hello everyone —

CHRISTMAS UPDTE: Our annual “hospitality night” block party is also canceled this year. We welcome visitors to safely distance by driving through the neighborhood and enjoying the lights, but there will be NO block party this year of any kind. We hope to see everyone again in 2021!

HALLOWEEN UPDATE: The general consensus of the block is that trick or treating will be very limited, and on a house-by-house basis. As of 20-Oct, only a handful of homes have decorated and appear to be participating. Informational flyers were posted on the mailboxes, basically recommending following County guidelines for distancing, wearing masks, and limiting distribution of candy to certain types and in limited quantities. Lots of hand-washing too. Please respect those homes who do not participate, and if you don’t plan on offering treats, make sure your front porch lights are off.

Several folks have already asked whether Stoney Gate Place will be hosting our usual large Halloween event, as well as the Holiday Magic block party this year. To be honest, we don’t have a decision as of yet. The neighbors have been discussing it and considering options, but we’re a bit far from those dates. We will probably have to look to Halloween, and the recommended Trick or Treat guidelines from the State, to see how things go.

As we determine how to proceed, we will update this site with the latest information. Thank you!
